Santa Cruz x Godzilla – 70th Anniversary Skateboard Collection

The King of the Kaiju turns 70 this year and he’s teamed up with Skateboarding royalty Santa Cruz Skateboards to drop this eagerly awaited Collaboration capsule. This titan of a drop takes some iconic Jim Phillips Santa Cruz graphics and gives them the Godzilla treatment courtesy of Japanese artist Makoto Yamaki.

 With the success of the latest visual offering ‘Godzilla – MInus One’ in cinemas earlier this year; smashing box office records in the process, the hype for this from movie fans, collectors and skateboarders alike is real.

The likes of the Tom Knox ‘Fire Pit’, Corey O’Brian ‘Reaper’ and Natas ‘Panther’ and other classic Santa Cruz graphics all make an appearance in this drop but the one we’re looking forward to the most is the ‘Destroyer’. This deck is a monsterous 11” wide and it features a custom shape based on the giant atomic lizards skin texture.

In true Godzilla form this collab is full of cameos from a lot of your other favourite titans including the likes of Mothra, Rohdan, King Ghidorah, mecha Godzilla and his adopted son Minilla aka Godzilla junior. All this said November 3rd and the release of this collection can’t come quick enough for us
